CCDC 2018 Resources: Student-created Policies, Workflows and Documentation

Last summer, our CCDC students worked with their host sites and mentors to develop digital preservation policies, workflows, and other documentation. Selected examples of these documents are now available on the CCDC website for other cultural heritage organizations to review and adapt for their own digital stewardship work.

Thanks to our awesome iSchool practicum student, Liz Deterding, there’s also an annotated bibliography of all student-created resources. Who doesn’t love a good annotated bibliography, am I right? Thanks, Liz!

In the coming weeks, I’ll continue to highlight the documentation created as part of CCDC 2018 via digistew@wils.org.

Today, I invite you to take a look at three digital preservation policies created for Rock County Historical Society, Outagamie Waupaca Library System and La Crosse Public Library Archives. They differ slightly, based on institutional mission and their specific digital collection development work, but all three include key components of a digital preservation policy.

We hope you find these useful in your own digital stewardship work. Enjoy!
