CCDC Project Coordinator Vicki Tobias and Recollection Wisconsin Program Manager Emily Pfotenhauer will be in the WLA Exhibit Hall, Booth 13, Wednesday and Thursday October 24-25. Shawn Vesely, Audiovisual Archivist for the Listening to War project, will be in the Town Square at the Local History conference on Friday and Saturday October 26-27.
And, for those of you attending WLA, be sure to check out our panel presentation, “Curating Community Digital Collections: Collaborating to Build Digital Capacity” on Thursday, October 25 from 2:45-3:30 in the La Crosse Center South Hall, Ballroom B. Vicki and Emily will provide a recap of Year One CCDC activities, and we are excited to have five of our Year One participants join us on this panel. Jodi Kiffmeyer (UW-Madison iSchool), Cameron Fontaine (UW-Milwaukee SOIS), Steve Moray (UW-Milwaukee SOIS), Amanda Lee (OWLS), and Scott Brouwer (La Crosse Public Library Archives) will share their unique experiences developing digital preservation workflows and policies for their institutions including key challenges and accomplishments, and advice for those of you embarking on similar adventures.
