Join the Recollection Wisconsin Steering Committee!

The Recollection Wisconsin Steering Committee is seeking nominations to fill two vacant seats. The Committee helps shape the priorities and future directions of the Recollection Wisconsin statewide digital consortium.

The Committee is made up of librarians, archivists, curators, educators, digital practitioners, and digital collection users representing a broad range of cultural heritage and memory-keeping organizations throughout Wisconsin. It is an excellent opportunity to help guide the bright future of Recollection Wisconsin and to connect with others in a wide variety of Wisconsin organizations, large and small, who are creating and tending to digital collections. It’s also a great way to connect into state, regional, and national digital collections communities of practice, including others working with and for the Digital Public Library of America.

We strongly encourage the nomination of candidates who, through work on the Committee, can contribute to the diversity of perspectives and content in Recollection Wisconsin, so all residents can see their stories represented within the collection, either as a digital collection manager or a digital collection user.

New committee members will serve three-year terms beginning in fall 2025. The Committee meets virtually 3-5 times a year and once in person for a joint meeting with the Recollection Wisconsin Governing Board in September or October.

Nominations will be accepted through July 11, 2025. All nominations will be reviewed by the current members of the Steering Committee in late July 2025.
