The libraries, archives, museums, and veterans’ organizations contributing content to Listening to War have made their materials available online with a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC-BY-NC-SA-4.0). This means that users can share and adapt the material under the following terms:

  • Attribution: You must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.
  • NonCommercial: You may not use the material for commercial purposes.
  • ShareAlike: If you remix, transform, or build upon the material, you must distribute your contributions under the same license as the original.

Takedown Requests

Recollection Wisconsin has made every effort to review release forms provided by contributing organizations, or, when release forms are not present, to obtain new permissions from interviewees, family members, or interviewers, as feasible. If you are a rights holder and believe that our use of materials constitutes an infringement, you may submit a takedown request to info@recollectionwisconsin.org. We will forward your request to the organization(s) responsible for the content.
